This course is designed to provide the learner/student with insights into what Human Anatomy and Physiology is and the importance of having knowledge of this system as it relates to Geriatric Nursing. There are 8 units in this semester.
1. Anatomy and Physiology Terminologies
2. Basic Chemistry
3. Introduction to Cells
4. Introduction to Tissues
5. Introduction to the Integumentary System (Skin)
6. Introduction to the Skeletal System (Bones)
7. Introduction to Muscles, and
8. Introduction to the Sensory Organs
Teaching/lecturing will be done twice a week. During the teaching period, learners/students will be given tests/quizzes, assignments, individual and group, and end the semester with a final exam. It is required that participation in all these areas be done so that you can be deemed as completing the course and qualified to do A&P 2.
